Large Raven Dancer in Whalebone

This is the largest figurine I have ever carved. The body, raven beak mask, and wings are all done in fossilized whalebone. The face and each individual feather are fossilized walrus jawbone. It is mounted on a fossilized whale vertebrae. I carved over 60 feathers for this piece and I am pleased with how it turned out. The raven holds great spiritual significance to the Native Alaskans.
